A painting setup starts with the kind of work you want to make. Brushes, a palette and drawing templates support different steps, but none replaces suitable paint, paper or instruction. Avoid buying a large assortment before choosing the medium and project.

Confirm material compatibility with the paints and cleaners you intend to use. A bigger brush count does not prove better results. Start with tools that serve a clear part of the project.
